A light in the moon is a stop motion animation that uses 168 different kinds of paper to print out the poem from Tender Buttons by Gertrude Stein. The stop motion is physically manipulated in small increments between individually photographed frames that will appear to exhibit independent motion when the series of frames is played back. The background music I chose is the music of Clair de Lune, which is French for a light of the moon or moonlight. Therefore, each paper with the word matched to the music tone. Besides, I think each word in the poem has some connection to the others, so I chose to use transparent paper to display this relationship.
