Taiwan is the Kingdom of Fruit. Because of our dedicated and skillful farmers, our gift from nature. While having only a small amount of land, Taiwan is blessed with mountains and hills that are 3,952 meters in height. Additionally, Taiwan’s geographical location between tropical and subtropical climate allows the island (and offshore ones) to enjoy a yearlong production that sustains dry winters, heavy summer rainstorms, and typhoons. Because of these natural conditions, Taiwanese farms are capable of growing a wide range of fruit that is cultivated at different levels of temperature and humidity.

Using Artivive app to scan the page will see the animation pop up on the book. When fruits drop on the floor, I used the idea to create the pattern in the book. In Taiwan, children live in this fruit kingdom; however, they do not know where the fruits come from or what the plant looks like.




In different season, Taiwan has diverse kinds of fruit.

Spring: Banana, cloud apple, loquat, peach, pineapple, plum.
Summer: Banana, Chufeng grape, lemon, longan, lychee (litchi), mango, muskmelon, passionfruit, pineapple, pitaya (dragonfruit), watermelon.
Fall: Lemon, nectarine, orange, papaya, pear, persimmon, ponkan, pomelo, starfruit, sugar apple.
Winter: Apple, Chufeng grape, grapefruit, guava, Indian jujube, orange, ponkan, strawberry, sugar apple.
